1. What cookies and local storage do
Cookies are small records that a website can ask your browser to retain and, in some cases, send back with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser mechanism that keeps information for a particular site without automatically attaching it to each request. This website uses local storage, not an HTTP cookie, to remember your privacy preference. This policy covers both technologies so that the banner’s purpose remains understandable.
The site’s code does not set advertising, analytics or session cookies and contains no third-party tracking libraries.
2. Storage inventory
The following table describes the site’s browser storage. “Not in use” means that no such cookie or local-storage record is created for that category.
| Category | Name / technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | qw_cookie_choice_v1 First-party local storage | Remembers category choices, policy version and choice time. | Up to 180 days; replaced on a new choice. |
| Analytics | None — not in use | No visit measurement or behavioural profiling. | Not applicable. |
| Functional | None — not in use | No optional embeds or saved customisation. | Not applicable. |
3. How the controls work
Accept All records that both optional categories are allowed, while Reject Non-Essential records that both are refused. Preferences opens a panel where the two categories can be chosen separately. Essential storage remains enabled because remembering the choice is the purpose of this control. Enabling an unused category does not activate a service, download a script or cause tracking.
The record contains no name, email address or unique advertising identifier and is not transmitted by this JavaScript. A saved choice applies across pages on the same website origin. It does not automatically transfer to another browser, device, subdomain or external booking website. After 180 days, or after a relevant policy-version change, the site asks again.
4. Changing your mind
You can reopen Preferences using the button above or the Cookie preferences control in every footer. Saving new settings replaces the earlier record. Rejecting optional categories does not block the guides, contact form or external booking links. If your browser prevents local storage, the current page can still respect your selection, but the prompt may reappear after navigation or reload because the choice cannot be retained.
Deleting this website’s stored data removes the preference. The banner will then appear on your next visit when JavaScript is available. With JavaScript disabled, no preference record is created and no optional tracking runs; the informational content and ordinary links remain available.
5. Browser opt-out instructions
- Chrome: open Settings, then Privacy and security, then the controls for site data. Search for this domain and delete its stored data.
- Firefox: open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data. Use Manage Data to remove this domain.
- Safari: open Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data. Locate this domain and remove its data.
- Edge: open Settings and the Cookies and site permissions or site-data controls. View stored site data and remove this domain.
Menu wording varies by browser version and device. Blocking all site storage may affect other websites’ sign-in and preference features. Private-browsing sessions generally discard local data when the private session ends, subject to browser behaviour.
6. External websites and future changes
Following a resort, tourism or support link leaves this website. Any cookies set by that destination are governed by its own controls; your choice here does not instruct another operator. No map provider is embedded on the contact page. If optional services are introduced later, the inventory and consent mechanism must be updated before those services run. For broader information about data rights and contact routes, read the privacy policy.
